Dichroic glass was originally developed for the space program to be used as part of an optic system, but it didn't work.  Because of it's special light-refracting qualities, it became a popular medium for glass artists and jewelers. NMAIG jewelry ranges in price from $10 to $40 (depending on silver content), and we strive to make dichroic jewelry affordable for everybody. We will be updating this site with more jewelry as we go forward, but it is almost impossible to really capture dichroic glass with photography.  Fortunately, we have found a phenomenal photographer who can handle it.  Look for jewelry to be added by Spring, 2008.  Until then, please contact us and we'll find a way to make you happy.
